Nasi Lemak

Ini Nasi Lemak yang Azam request malam tadi. Kena ada kacang katanya.  Resepi seperti berikut.

Bahan nasi lemak
1. 3 pot kecil beras (saya guna beras siam yang panjang2 tu, so sukatan air dia pon akan berlainan dengan beras biasa)
2. 1 ulas bawang merah (dihiris)
3. 1 inci halia (dihiris)
4. 1 helai daun pandan (diikat simpul)
5. Santan (saya guna santan kotak jenama ayam brand)
6. Air secukupnya untuk masak nasi

Cara memasak

Beras dibasuh dan toskan airnya.
Campurkan santan dengan 3 cawan air di dalam periuk nasi.
Masukkan bawang, halia dan daun pandan ke dalam periuk.
Masakkan santan sehingga mendidih. Jangan ditutup tudungnya.
Apabila santan sudah mendidih, rasakan garam untuk santan tersebut.
Kemudian masukkan beras yang sudah dibasuh.
Kacau sebati.
Boleh ditutup tudung periuk.
Semasa proses ini amat digalakkan untuk meninjau keadaan periuk agar tidak santan tidak melimpah. Saya akan cuba untuk mengacau selang15 minit sehingga santan kering dan bolehlah tinggalkan saja sehingga masak. Saya gunakan periuk nasi elektrik

Bahan untuk sambal

1. 10 biji cili kering(direbus dahulu sehingga lembut)
2. 3 ulas bawang merah
3. 2 ulaa bawang putih
4. 1 cm belacan
5. 1/3 cawan air asam jawa(ikut masam mana yg anda suka)
6. 4 cm gula nisang kelantan (boleh guna 1/3 cawan gula pasir)
7. Bawang besar dihiris
8. 2 sudu minyak masak

Cara menyediakan sambal

Cili kering dipotong dan dikisar bersama2 bawang merah, bawang putih dan belacan.
Panaskan minyak.
Tumiskan cili kisar tadi sehingga naik minyak.
Kemudian masukkan air asam jawa
3 mins kemudian masukkan bawang besar yang dihiris.dan gula nisang.
Tunggu sehingga ia kembali naik minyak. Jika ingin banyak sambal, tambahkan air sedikit dan tunggu sehingga telkstur seperti yang disukai. Tambahkan garam. Dan ikan bilis goreng sedikit.En. Zama suka sambal pekat. Terpulang kepada kehendak masing2.

Hidangkan nasi dengan sambal, ikan bilis goreng, kacang goreng, telur rebus dan timun.

Yum.  Simple je resepi saya.

Perak Sultan passed away

 Sultan of Perak, Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah passed away at 1.30pm, Wednesday at the age of 86.

His passing was announced by Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir.

“It is with deep regret that I have to announce the passing of our beloved Sultan,” he said during a live telecast over RTM.

Zambry said the Sultan would be laid to rest at the royal mausoleum in Kuala Kangsar after Asar prayers on Thursday.

Born on April 19, 1928, in Batu Gajah, Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Yusuff Izzuddin Shah Ghafarullahu-lah ascended to the throne on Dec 9, 1985.

A Sultan for nearly three decades, he was 86 years old and is survived by his wife Raja Permaisuri Perak Tuanku Bainun, as well as a son, Raja Muda of Perak Raja Dr Nazrin Shah and three daughters, Dato’ Seri Raja Azureen, Raja Eleena and Raja Yong Sofia. Another son, Raja Kecil Sulong of Perak Datuk Seri Raja Ashman Shah passed away on March 30, 2012.

The Sultan became the ninth Yang di-Pertuan Agong from April 26, 1989 until April 25,1994.

Sultan Azlan Shah received his early education at the Government English School in Batu Gajah before continuing his studies at the Malay College Kuala Kangsar.

He went on to read law at Nottingham University and was later conferred the Bachelor of Law in 1953, and admitted to the English Bar by the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn on Nov 23, 1954.

Upon completing his education, Sultan Azlan Shah returned to Malaysia where he first served as the Assistant State Secretary of Perak.

His career in the legal service thereafter was a long and illustrious one, and in 1965, the then 37-year-old was elevated to the Bench of the High Court of Malaya as the youngest judge in the Commonwealth.

In 1973, he was appointed as a Federal Court Judge and six years later, in 1979, he became Chief Justice of the High Court, an office which he held until his appointment as the Lord President of the Federal Court of Malaysia on Nov 12, 1982.

On July 1, 1983, he was made Raja Muda of Perak (Crown Prince).

Among his hobbies were hockey and golfing.

The Sultan was known for his contributions to Malaysia’s institutes of higher learning, and was also the Royal Patron of many student, graduate, professional and charitable clubs and associations.

As a token of appreciation, the orchid Doritinosis Sultan Azlan Shah was named after the ruler. The orchid won the “Best Plant” award in its category during the Domestic Tourism Expo of Perak in 1992.
